RYCA - Regional Youth Climate Assembly

Updated: Sep 19

An Overview of the Work

The Regional Youth Climate Assembly (RYCA) is a representative group of young people from across the Yorkshire & Humber region, to provide a collective youth voice for young people within the climate discussion.  RYCA invites young people living in the Y&H region to represent their local authority, community or youth project, and to take local, regional and national action, joining the pool of discussion when it comes to young people’s present and futures.

RYCA is dedicated to striving for a better world by combating the effects of climate change. We partner with different organisations and groups from around the world to promote positive actions and practical solutions for making our world a better place.  One of the ways we do this is by being the Youth Voice on the Yorkshire Climate Commission.

explored the impact of climate change on young people living in Yorkshire and Humber and comparing these experiences with peers living in South Africa and developed in partnership with the University of Leeds.  More details can be found here
